The HEAP staff of the Ironton-Lawrence County Community Action Organization has issued new guidelines to determine eligibility for winter heating assistance.

Income guidelines have increased for 2009-2010 in order to service more of the community.

If you are facing a disconnection of your electric and/or gas utility service or have less than 25 percent of home heating fuel, you may qualify for Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) emergency assistance through the Winter Crisis Program effective Nov. 1 through March 31, 2010.
