1st computer ratings list 3 area teams

It’s interesting, but not exciting.
Well, at least not yet.
It’s the first week of the computer playoff ratings, which means there are six more weeks to follow. So it’s interesting to see the teams listed among the top 10 in the initial release by the Ohio High School Athletic Association.
There are three area teams are among the leaders including Ironton in Division IV, Coal Grove in Div. V and Symmes Valley in Div. VI.
In Region 15, Amanda Clearcreek (4-0) is first with a 9.050 average followed by Columbus Bishop Hartley (4-0) at 7.2513 and the Fighting Tigers (3-1) are third with a 6.0250 average.
Heath and Alexander are tied for fourth followed by Coshocton, West Muskingum, Fairfield Union, Portsmouth West and Portsmouth.
In Region 19, Liberty Union (3-1) lead with a 6.300 average. Crooksville and Fredericktown are tied for second at 5.7250 and Coal Grove (3-1) is fourth at 5.5750.
Minford is fifth at 5.5000 and then Nelsonville-York, Woodsfield Monroe, Wheelersburg eighth, Caldwell and Oak Hill.
Region 23 has New Philadelphia Tuscarawas Catholic in first place followed by Wellsville, Grove City Christian, Malvern, Bridgeport, Columbiana, Newark Catholic, Reedsville Eastern, New Matamoras Frontier and tied for 10th are Symmes Valley (3-1) and Zanesville Rosecrans wtih 3.3250 averages.

The top eight teams in each region of each division qualify for the postseason.
