KITTS HILL — James P. Cochran, Jr. 52, of Kitts Hill, died Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Lawrence County native was born Jan.9, 1957, the son of James P. Cochran of Ironton and the late Mary Margaret Haynes Cochran.
Mr. Cochran is a graduate of Ironton High School, a machine operator for Adams Trucking and a member of the Moose Lodge #701 in Ironton.
In addition to his father he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Aimee and Michael Clay of South Point; a daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Nick Clay of South Point, a daughter, Amanda Cochran of Ironton; a son, Brandon Cochran of Ironton; a daughter, Brianne Cochran of South Point; a daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Avery Bryant of Ironton; a daughter, Amy Casey of Ironton; 14 grandchildren; his fiancée, Donna Workman of Kitts Hill four sisters and a brother-in-law, Lona and Ray Marting, Mary Beth Cochran, and Jade Lutz all of Ironton, and Cindy Stamper of Coal Grove; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Coss Cochran of Raceland, Ky. and Greg and Debbie Cochran of Ironton.
