Rudolph “Corky” Meadows, 60, of Ironton, passed away Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. The Prestonsburg, Ky. native was born May 29, 1949, the son of the late Alex and Virgie Mae Clark Meadows. He is survived by his wife, Linda Wilson Meadows, whom he married May 12, 1972.
Mr. Meadows attended Dawson-Bryant School and Lick Creek Independent Baptist Church.  He loved to collect old cars, fishing, sitting on the porch, mowing grass, cutting up with the family and friends and watching Andy Griffith.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Jennifer Meadows of Ironton; a daughter and son-in-law, Melinda and Danny Russell of Ironton; a sister, Juanita Reynolds of Kitts Hill; four grandchildren, Bryce Patrick Triplett, Dylan Alexander Triplett, Genna Paige Meadows and Gordon William Rudolph Meadows, all of Ironton, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, with Rev. Pat Burnett, Rev. Michael Dement and Assistant Pastor Paul Toney officiating. Burial will follow in Community Cemetery.
