Wilcox golf benefit
A benefit golf scramble for Amy Wilcox and her family will be held on Friday at the Ironton Country Club.
Shotgun start is 2p.m. Entry fee for 3-man teams is $150. Registration begins at 1 p.m.

SBC golf scrmable
Sharon Baptist Church will hold a benefit golf scramble on Saturday at Diamondlinks Golf Course.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start will be at 9 a.m. Prizes will be awarded and lunch is provided. Entry fee is $60 per person.
All proceeds benefit the building fund.
SP cage camps
The South Point boys and girls basketball camps will be held from 9 a.m. to noon June 15-18 at the high school.
The camp is open to youths entering grades 2-to-8. Fee is $30 per camper and $20 for each additional family member. Checks should be made payable to: South Point Boosters c/o Chris Barnes.
The camp will stress ballhandling, dribbling, shooting, passing, defense, discipline, conditioning and rules.
Head instructors are coaches Chris Barnes and Dave Adams.
IHS boys cage camp
The Ironton Fighting Tigers basketball camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday through Thursday, June 8-11, at the Ironton Sports Center for boys in grades 3-9 as of the fall of 2009.
Camp fee is $20. Each camper receives one cold beverage daily and a T-shirt at the end of the camp. Checks should be made payable to the Tiger Clan.
Boys may register on the first day of camp, but early registration will help campers receive the proper shirt size. Forms are available at the city schools, Bob Linn Sporting Goods or download a PDF form on the Ironton City Schools web page.
Various awards will be presented at the end of the camp.
Camp director is coach Mark LaFon at Ironton High School 532-3911 Ext. 19.
IHS girls cage camp
The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers basketball camp will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday through Thursday, June 15-18, at the Ironton Sports Center for girls in grades 3-9 as of the fall of 2009.

Lady Hornets’ camp
The Coal Grove girls basketball camp will be from 9 a.m. to noon June 1-4 for girls entering grades 2-8 for next school year.
Students from any school district are welcome. The camp will be held in the Dawson Bryant Elementary School gymnasium. The cost is $25 and a T-shirt is included.
Free drinks will be provided at breaks. The camp will feature skill development, competitions and games.

Chesy cage camps
The second session of the Chesapeake Panthers boys basketball camp will be held for boys entering grades 7-to-9 from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Wednesday.
Campe fee is $35 each. Registration will be held prior to the start of the camp on the first day.
Rio volleyball camp
The University of Rio Grande girls’ volleyball camp will be held for grades 7-9 from July 5-7, grades 10-12 from July 8-10.
The camp will be held in the Newt Oliver Arena on the campus. Registration deadline is Saturday, June 20, and there will be a limit of 60 campers per session. Reservatioins are on a first come, first serve basis.

The Tri-State Express will conduct its first annual basketball tournament June 12-14 at Ironton High School and the Sports Center.
The tournament is open to boys’ teams ages 8-15. Entry fee is $150.

The Fairland Dragons’ boys basketball skills camp for grades 4-9 will be held from 9-11:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday at the high school.
Also, the Little Dragons camp for ages 5-8 will be held from noon to 2 p.m. June 1-4.
All camp fees are $35.

The Fairland Lady Dragons basketball camp for girls entering grades 3-9 will be ehld from8:30-11:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday, June 8-11, at the high school.
Camp fee is $35 and includes T-shirt. Emphasis will be on all phases of the game including improvement and team play. Early registration will help in proper T-shirt size.

Rio basketball camp
The University of Rio Grande has set dates for its annual basketball camps for boys and girls.
Session one is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 15-17 for youths ages 6-and-up. Session two is June 29 to July 1. Fee is $150 and lunch is included.
There is a $50 discount for anyone attending both camps.
Session three is an overnight camp July 12-15 for girls in grades 4-12. Fee is $245.

ILL history project
The Ironton Little League Baseball History project is accepting donations for engraved bricks.
The ILL will engrave a brick with a person’s name and choice of message for $75. There are only 184 total bricks and the deadline is Monday, June 1.
The bricks will be put in place in the ILL Memorial Field Design.

The Ironton Little League is compiling information regarding the accomplishments of all-star teams in the league.
The ILL needs a list of baseball and softball teams that were district champions or runners-up as well as state champions and runners-up.

Run-by-River June 13
The 32nd annual Run By The River 5K and 10K road races will be held Saturday, June 13, in downtown Russell, Ky.
Entry fee is $15 by June 6 and $20 after that date.
The top three finishers in both races in men and women divisions receive trophies. Age groups are from14-and-under to 75 and over.
