CHILLICOTHE — Indian Valley won its 23rd straight game as the Braves rolled past the Wheelersburg Pirates 12-2 in five innings Friday in the Division III regional championship game.

The win gives Indian Valley a berth in the state tournament.

Indian Valley (25-2) got past error-prone Fairland 11-5 in Thursday’s semifinal game. The Braves advance to the state tournament next weekend.

Johnny Iacobucci, who pitched four innings to get the win on Thursday, pitched again on Friday and got the win. Indian Valley had 13 hits with Bobby Hall going 3-4, Logan Gray 2-3 and Logan Cozart and Zack Baker 2-4.

Nathan Thomas was 2-2, Andrew Elliott 2-3 and Aaron Hopper 1-3 for the Pirates (25-4) who managed just five hits.
