Look for the Rock Hill Redwomen to purchase a burglar alarm.
Keeping the opposition from stealing the ball was Rock Hill’s downfall on Monday as they lost 52-24 to the Jackson Ironladies.
Rock Hill was guilty of 36 turnovers, many of them in the second quarter as they scored just three points.
“The second quarter they pressed us and we had a hard time getting the ball up the court,” said Rock Hill coach Matt Fulks. “Once we can protest the ball better, we will have a better chance of competing.”
The game was tied 7-7 at the end of the first quarter. But Jackson outscored the Redwomen 21-3 in the second quarter to take a 28-10 lead at the break.
“We’ve been playing well at the beginning of games, we just need to keep it going through the whole game. We can’t let a few mistakes snowball like it has been doing,” said Fulks.
“We’re learning on the job and that’s tough on young kids.”
Chelsea Harper led Rock Hill with eight points while Courtney Duncan and Brittany Thompson scored six each.
Nicole Chapman had 13 for Jackson.
