Pearl May Cochran Bryant, 73, of Ironton, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at Pleasant Hill Manor in Piketon.
The Lawrence County native was born May 18, 1935, the daughter of the late Delbert and Sarah Melissa Kingrey Cochran. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer Pemberton, who died Oct. 23, 1988 and her second husband, James Bryant, who died Oct.17, 1999.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She attended Andis Schools.
In addition to her parents and first and second husbands, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Stevens.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Pam and Roger Mayo, of Ashland, Ky., and Cathy and Tim Spears, of Ironton; four sons and daughters-in-law, David Pemberton of Ashland, Ky., Mike Pemberton, of Ironton, Roger and Rosie Pemberton, of Davenport, Fla., and Billie and Lela Pemberton, of Ironton; a sister, Alma Faye Nelson, of Franklin Furnace a half-sister, Vickie Lay and her husband, Robert, of Independence, Ky.; three step-daughters, Donna Willhoite and Kathy Wescotte, both of Tulsa, Okla., and Vallerie Gallion, of Franklin Furnace; a step-son, James Bryant Jr., of North Carolina; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral will be noon Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Mamre Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m.- noon Saturday at the funeral home.
