CLAWSON, Mich. — Thomas E. Rogers, 74, of Clawson, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008 in Royal Oak.
He was born March 2, 1934 in Grayson, Ky., a son of the late Virgil Raymond and Bessie Webb Rogers.
He was a 20-year employee of General Motors; retired after 16 years with Volkswagen and was founder of Rogers Associates. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, had more than 58 years association with Boy Scouts of America, achieving the Siler Beaver Award. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Rogers II.
He is survived by his wife, Erna Clara Rimbach Rogers of Clawson; a son, Thomas E. Rogers II, of Clawson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle Louise and Chris Hagans, of Weiser, Idaho, and Lisa Carol and Richard Leutze of Rochester Hills, Mich.; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild and a brother and two sisters-in-law, Darrell and Terry Rogers of Lake Butler, Fla., and Betty Rogers of Enterprise, Ala.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Rogers Family Cemetery in Pedro, Ohio. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home in Ironton, Ohio.
