PEDRO — Gertrude Marie Knipp, 83, of Pedro, passed away Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at her residence.
The Lawrence County native was born Aug. 11, 1925, the daughter of the late Harley and Elsie Kerns Blagg. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Albert Knipp, who passed away Oct. 31, 1989.
She attended Bartles School, was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Calvary Church in Pedro.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Helen Gale Blagg, Patsy Blagg, Myrtle Blagg, Aliene Blagg Sherrick, and Bonnie Blagg Aldridge; and three brothers, Bill Blagg, George Blagg and Roy Blagg.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Judy Blagg, of New Bremen; a daughter and special friend, Donna Laber and Louie Huber of Celina; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two sisters, Lynda Depriest, of Pedro and Betty Sayre, of Tipp City, and a brother, Rev. Fred Blagg, of Pedro.
Funeral will be 1p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home, with Pastor Ronnie Blagg officiating. Burial will follow in Puckett Cemetery. Friends may call today 6-8 PM at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
