Victory is served.
The Chesapeake Lady Panthers had just six bad serves the entire game as they took a 3-1 Ohio Valley Conference volleyball win over the Rock Hill Redwomen Thursday.
“Both teams were just outstanding,” said Lady Panthers coach Dana Edwards. “We served the ball really well all night and we were communicating and playing as a team. We put it together tonight. Our girls have really grown up over the season.”
Jamie Scott had four ace serves as Rock Hill won the first set 25-22,but the Lady Panthers bounced back to win three straight, 25-20, 25-23, and 25-20.
“Nikki Lindsey had only one bad serve the whole night. She hit the ball the best she has all year,” said Edwards.
“Sarah Cravens had the best game of her career, and Amanda Ruffner had some big spikes.”
In the reserve match, Rock Hill won 22-25, 25-16, and 26-24.
Chelsea Harper had eight ace serves and Nicole Stamper seven ace serves to lead Rock Hill.
