SOUTH WEBSTER — Elista Hall was good. The Green Lady Bobcats were good. The South Webster Lady Jeeps were just better.

Despite Hall reaching a career milestone, Green struggled to score late as South Webster took a 62-52 win Monday.

“This is the best we’ve played as a team since before Christmas. Our goal is to play well and get ready for the tournament,” Royse said. “You don’t like to lose, but I saw signs of progress.”

Hall hit a 12-footer from the right side on the first shot of the game to give her 1,000 career points. She finished the game with 16.

“She played a really good game tonight,” Royce said.

Hall scored 7 points in the first quarter as Green took a 12-10 lead.

The Lady Jeeps came back to outscore Green 19-14 in the second quarter to take a 29-26 lead. Adrianne Blankenship scored 8 of her 9 points for Green.

The Lady Bobcats came back to tie the game at 39-39 after three quarters, but Kayla Cook scored 16 points in the fourth quarter as South Webster pulled away late.

Besides Hall, Shay Richendollar had 10 points. Adrianne Blankenship and Hall had 10 rebounds each, Richendollar handed out 9 assists and Hall 6 while Blankenship collected 5 steals.

Cook finished with 22 points for the Lady Jeeps (10-8). Erin Sherman scored 13 points and Brianna Rawlins added 10.
