County actors featured in #039;Into the Woods#039;

Ashland Summer Musical Theatre's performance of "Into the Woods," will have a local flavor.

Performances continue at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

"Into the Woods" is a fractured fairy tale that includes many classic characters and features life lessons about community responsibility and the stories we tell our children.

Local characters of the production include Ashley Davis as Lucinda, Maggie Patterson as Little Red Riding Hood and Caitlyn Donohue as Rapunzel, all are Rock Hill students.

Michelle Wilson is Cinderella and Chuck Harper is in the orchestra.

DeNeil Hartley, a teacher at Rock Hill, is the musical director and conductor of the orchestra. Crosby Clyse, St. Joseph Central Catholic Church, serves as production stage manager.

Ticket prices are $6 for adults and $4 for students, seniors and groups of 10 or more. Tickets may be picked up at the college bookstore or reserved by calling (606) 326-2014.
