Hall, Markins key CG win

Trouble came in pairs.
Samantha Hall and Chelsea Markins combined for 33 points as the Coal Grove Lady Hornets beat the St. Joseph Female Flyers 48-29 Wednesday.
Hall led all scorers with 17 points and Markins was one point behind with 16 points.
"We've got two kids who can score," Lady Hornets coach Nick Miller said. "We did a nice job in our fullcourt defensive situations and got some turnovers that we scored on."
Hall had 6 points in the first quarter and Markins 4 as the Lady Hornets took a 12-6 lead.
Five different players scored in the second quarter as Coal Grove upped its lead to 22-13 at the break.
Hall got 5 points in the third quarter to offset 4 by the Flyers Danielle Blair and the Lady Hornets eased out to a 31-19 lead.
Coal Grove converted 5 of 8 from the line in the fourth quarter - Markins was 4 of 4 and scored 6 points -
and the Lady Hornets outscored St. Joseph 17-10. Christina Harvey had 8 of the Female Flyers' points.
Harvey finished with 11 points and Blair 8 to lead the Female Flyers (4-6).
