The trial of a former police officer and dog catcher charged with rape has been rescheduled.
The trial for Christopher Luke Prince 27, 1811 Echo Drive, Ironton, was scheduled for Thursday and Friday. It was continued until mid-November at the request of Prince's attorney.
Prince was arrested in April after a woman alleged that Prince had
raped her 8-year-old-daughter.
Prince was employed by the City of Ironton as dog warden on an as-needed basis from October 2003 until the time of his arrest. Previously, he was employed as a Hanging Rock Police officer from June 2000 until March 2003 and as a Coal Grove Police officer previously.
