The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office continue to investigate the death of a Upper Township man Friday morning. The man’s name and address on County Road 103 (Ellisonville Ridge Road) were unavailable.

Major Jeff Lawless said the cause of the death is still under investigation.

&uot;Upon our arrival, we found a male subject deceased in the kitchen area,&uot; Lawless said. &uot;We began an investigation into the situation. We have called for assistance from the Bureau of Criminal Investigations.&uot;

Lawless did say that if the case appeared to be an obvious suicide that BCI would not typically be called.

The officer said he did no believe anyone else was home at the time.

More than a dozens friends and family members gathered at the driveway entrance to the home. Several declined comment.
