"The people are courteous and willing to help you. Neighbors help their neighbors," Imogene Johnson said.

She should know since she has lived in the area for 20 years and raised her two children there. Now, she's watching her grandchildren grow up in Windsor Township.

At Dobbstown is the Danny C. Hayes Memorial and the Windsor Township Fire Department. Assistant Fire Chief Tyler Hamlin echoed Johnson's sentiments.

"It's nice out here," Hamlin said. "Everyone knows everyone, and that's the nice thing about small communities."

Hamlin said the other nice thing about Dobbstown, and Windsor Township in general, is the natural beauty.

"Everyone thinks Lawrence County and they tend to think 'big farms,' but out here we have rolling hills. It's beautiful."
