WESTWOOD, Ky. - The Eagles soared with the bats.
Baseball bats, that is.
The Fairview Eagles collected 12 hits as they beat the St. Joseph Flyers 12-1 Wednesday.
"Fairview hit the ball all the way up and down the lineup. They may be the best team we've played," Flyers coach Greg Bryant said.
The Flyers (2-13) had three hits. Jeremy Addis was 2-3 and Alex Swarts 1-2.
St. Joseph scored its only run in the third inning when Kurt Jordan walked, stole second, Corey Lewis was hit by a pitch, and Addis singled in Jordan.
Aaron Thompson hit a 3-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning to end the game.
The Eagles are 11-6.
