They've been practicing for months and now they're ready to take the stage.
The annual St. Joseph High School variety show is set for this weekend in the high school gym. More than 25 performers and a stage cast of 12 will present "The St. Joe Choice Awards." The event will feature some show tunes that students and staff list among their favorites. Faculty advisor Maria Whaley said those who attend will take a musical trip down memory lane.
"I think they really enjoy this," Whaley said. "They wanted their personalities to come out a little and that's what you'll be seeing."
The students will perform at 8 p.m. Friday and again at 8 p.m. Saturday. Just before the show on Saturday, dinner will be served at 6 p.m. at the school. Those who come for the dinner will be treated to chicken, a vegetable, salad, rolls and dessert.
The cost of the dinner and the show is $13. Admission for the variety show alone is $5. Reservations for the dinner must be made by 3 p.m. Friday by calling Cathy McKnight at 533-0762.
