SOUTH POINT - Maria Viglianco delivered in the clutch.

Viglianco had a one-out run-scoring single that lifted the South Point Lady Pointers to a 4-3 win over the River Valley Lady Raiders Wednesday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

Ashley Patrick pitched a five-hitter and struck out 12 as she picked up the win. Alex Weed and Viglianco each went 2-3 for the Lady Pointers, 1-1 in the OVC.

Jessi Craft had a two-run double in the fourth inning and the Lady Pointers added a run in the fifth to tie the game.

South Point hosts Fairland Friday in an OVC game.
