Motorcycle wreck sends two to hospital

ASHLAND, Ky.- Traffic on the 12th Street bridge connecting Coal Grove and Ashland, Ky. came to a standstill yesterday afternoon after a motorcycle accident that injured two people.
Ashland police officers said a man operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle lost control of his bike and began to slide down the bridge around 6:05 p.m.
He and a female passenger were not wearing helmets, and both were seriously injured in the incident. Both were airlifted to St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va., for treatment.
Traffic on the bridge was halted for more than two hours while emergency service workers assisted the accident victims. The names of the victims were not available at press time.
