Fire ripped through an apartment complex last night.
It was the second time Ironton firefighters were called that Third and Chestnut street location in a month. The State Fire Marshal's office has been called in to investigate the incident.
Ironton Fire Department Capt. Steve Lewis said the blaze broke out at approximately 11:30 p.m., and kept firefighters busy for at least an hour. Lewis said the extent of damage caused by the latest blaze was "significant."
The fire required two engines and the tower truck from the Ironton Fire Department. The Coal Grove Volunteer Fire Department provided its mobile cascade unit to fight the fire. Fourteen fire fighters were called to the scene.
The first fire at the eight-unit complex was April 19.
