WAYNE, W.Va. - After playing in a bunch of one-run games, the South Point Lady Pointers decided to play a game without so much stress.
The Lady Pointers cranked out 15 hits en route to a 12-2 win over the Wayne Lady Pioneers Tuesday.
Allison Perdue led the 15-hit attack by going 3-3 with four runs batted in. Katherine Johnson went 2-2, Ashley Patrick and Alex Weed 2-4, and Maria Viglianco 2-5.
Viglianco and Johnson also doubled.
"Everybody hit the ball well today," Lady Pointers coach Steve Baise said. "Ashley had a good day and Allison really hit the ball, too. We did a good job up and down the lineup."
Patrick picked up the win as she pitched a three-hitter. She struck out nine and walked four in going the distance.
