A Coal Grove man remains in critical condition today after a two-car accident Saturday on Hog Run Road.

Billy Conn was taken by Lifeflight helicopter to St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers, Thomas Tennison of Ironton, was northbound on Hog Run Road when his car collided with a car driven by Linda Havens of South Point. The crash caused Tennison's car to roll over at least once, pinning Conn, a passenger, inside the vehicle.

Havens and Tennison were treated at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. An adult and two children in Havens' car were not injured. Tennison was cited for failure to control a motor vehicle.

The accident required the services of SEOEMS, the Upper Township and Ironton fire departments, the Coal Grove and Ironton police departments and the state patrol. Traffic was halted for more than an hour while crews worked to free Conn from the vehicle and clear the wrecked cars from the area.
