The Lawrence County Health Department and the Lawrence County Commissioners is offering a reduced-cost rabies vaccination clinic for the next three Saturdays.
All dogs and cats in Lawrence County must be vaccinated against rabies.
Dogs and cats must be healthy and at least three months old. After their first vaccination, they will need to be vaccinated again in one year and revaccinated every three years thereafter.
The clinic will be 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Cook's Farm Center along State Route 141 in Ironton, 1-3 p.m. April 19 at the Burlington Wal-Mart's outer lot and 1-3 p.m. April 26 at the Proctorville Kroger.
The health department has asked that all dogs be on a leash and that all cats be on a leash or in a carrier or onion sack. The veterinarian for the clinic will be Dr. Mike Dyer.
