Two people accused of assaulting a man with spraypaint have been released on bond.
Stephanie K. Harshberger, 26, of South Point and her boyfriend Carl F. Noble, 39, of Ironton were released last week from the Lawrence County Jail on $50,000 bond, own recognizance. They are both charged with felonious assault and aggravated robbery.
According to information from the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department, Harshberger and Noble allegedly picked up Duane White, 38, of Ironton and the car pulled into a driveway on LaGrange-Royersville Road. Harshberger and Noble then allegedly sprayed White with spraypaint, hit his head with a car door and pushed his face into a mud puddle. Three children were also in the car with them.
Harshberger and Noble were allegedly trying to take a prescribed narcotic from White, who sustained head and facial injuries. The children were turned over to a relative.
The preliminary hearing for Harshberger and Noble will be continued at 9 a.m. Jan. 23 in Ironton Municipal Court. Harshberger is represented by Carol Hampton of Ironton and Noble is represented by Jason Smith of Ironton.
