Hats off to the St. Lawrence Elementary students who collected toys for the Ironton City Mission.

And, while we’re at it, hats off to everyone collecting toys this time of year.

Most of us take the holiday season for granted. It’s a time of well-wishing, peace, joy and hope.

Unfortunately, there are those who have no means to give gifts.

You can help. All around us there are agencies collecting toys.

The Jim Kennedy Agency in Ironton is a drop off location for the Toys for Tots drive. They are asking for new unwrapped toys, which will be distributed to needy children in our community for Christmas.

Your gift to them will be appreciated.
