William Myers
Oct. 11, 1948-Aug. 6, 2001
TEXAS CITY, Texas – William Joseph "Bill" Myers, 52, of Texas City, formerly of Coal Grove, Ohio, died Monday at Mainland Center Hospital.
The Coal Grove native was born Oct. 11, 1948, the son of the late Gene and Ella Cable Myers.
He was the husband of Rhonda Lee Frazer Myers, who survives.
The U.S. Army veteran was employed by Galveston Road Department.
He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Myers and Paul David "Butch" Myers.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, with military graveside rites by VFW Post 8850.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Hershel McKenzie
Aug. 26, 1918-Aug. 9, 2001
ASHLAND, Ky. – Hershel McKenzie, 82, of Ashland died Thursday at King’s Daughters Medical Center.
The Paintsville native was born Aug. 26, 1918, the son of the late Hallick and Nola Lemaster McKenzie.
He was the husband of Anna Lee Blanton McKenzie, who survives.
He was retired with the masonry department at Armco Steel and was a member of the Hoods Creek Pike Enterprise Baptist Church and the United Steelworkers 1865.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods, with Powell Collins and Russell Griffith officiating.
Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
