PORTSMOUTH – Ironton’s Adam Rudmann skipped last week’s Tri-State Junior Golf Circuit stop to play in the AJGA Tournament in Ashland, Ky. Friday’s field at Shawnee State Park wished he would have taken another day off.

Rudmann carded a 75 to win the 16-18 age division on the Par 72 course.

Also in the 16-18 age division, Ironton ‘s Michael McGraw carded an 82, Bo McGinnis an 84, Josh Cartmell an 89, Joe Crabtree a 93, and Andrew Sparks a 102. Coal Grove’s Tim McClean had a 95.

In the 13-15 age division, Chesapeake’s Trent Finley shot a 95 and Ironton’s Adam Sparks a 121.

The next tournament is July 7 at Esquire in Barboursville, W.Va. Soft spikes are required.

Entry deadline is 3 p.m. on the Wednesday. Entry forms are available at all area golf courses including the Ironton Country Club.
