Play (tournament) ball!

The District 11 senior and junior league all-star brackets have been announced, and the Ironton Senior League field will host both the winner and loser brackets.

The senior league (ages 15-16) tournament will begin Saturday with Rock Hill facing Newville at 12:30 p.m. Newville is a combination of New Boston, Sciotoville, and Portsmouth Clay.

Ironton faces Lucasville at 3 p.m. followed by Northwest and Fairland at 5:30 and then Portsmouth and Wheelersburg under the lights at 8 p.m.

Monday will be two loser bracket games at 5:30 and 8 p.m. The 5:30 game will match the Rock Hill-Newville loser against the Ironton-Lucasville loser.

The second game pits the Northwest-Fairland loser against the Portsmouth-Wheelersburg loser.

Winners from Saturday will play at 5:30 and 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

The tournament will continue Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Monday, July 10, and Tuesday, July 11.

The Junior League (ages 13-14) tournament will be held at New Boston starting Saturday.

The first game on Field A has Fairland and Coal Grove at 10 a.m. followed by Portsmouth and Chesapeake at 12:30, Wheelersburg and South Webster at 3 p.m., and Portsmouth Clay at Newville at 5:30.

On Field B, Northwest plays West Portsmouth at 10 a.m., Ironton meets Rock Hill at 12:30 p.m., South Point goes against Green at 3 p.m., and Symmes Valley faces Lucasville at 5:30.

The tournament resumes on Monday with the loser’s bracket.

On Field A, the Fairland-Coal Grove loser plays the Portsmouth-Chesapeake loser at 5:30. On Field B at 5:30, the Wheelersburg-South Webster loser plays the Clay-Newville loser.

On Field A at 5:30 on Tuesday, the Northwest-West Portsmouth loser goes up against the Ironton-Rock Hill loser.

On Field B at 5:30 Tuesday, the South Point-Green loser plays the Symmes Valley-Lucasville loser.

Winners bracket games are Thursday and Friday. More winner’s bracket games will be played Saturday, July 8 on Field A, and loser bracket games on Field B.

The rest of the tournament will be played Monday, July 10, Tuesday, July 11, Thursday, July 13, Friday, July 14, Saturday, July 15, and Monday, July 17.
