Operation: Be Proud director Susan Taylor hands out Easter baskets and books Friday afternoon to Katherine Fugate, Patsy Birchfield and David Ray Fugate at the community center operated by OBP in the Ironton Metropolitan Housing Authority’s Riverhills Community Building. About 50 baskets were distributed, thanks to fund raising spearheaded by Darren Parsons, who is involved with the Black Affairs Advisory Council with the Social Security office. Parsons is trying to form a local branch of the BAAC in Ironton.
