Farmer Steve Lambert of Kitts Hill pours dirt through his hands from bare pasture lands on his farm that were affected by the drought last year. Last season’s lack of precipitation caused grass and pasture lands to dry out causing feed for cattle to die. A federal program has been set up for farmers to seed and fertilize their pastures to replace grass.
