The three entered guilty pleas in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court last week, Lawrence County Prosecutor J.B. Collier Jr. said.

Gary Lee Porter, 19, of 105 Malone St., South Point, pleaded guilty Jan. 19 to a Jan. 3 indictment of breaking and entering, Collier said.

The crime occurred in September at the Food Basket in South Point.

Hearing the plea, Judge Richard Walton sentenced Porter to one year in prison to be served concurrently with two, three-year prison sentences imposed for each of six counts of burglary, second-degree felonies.

The burglaries occurred as different incidents and at different locations, mostly county residences, Collier said.

Porter will serve a total of three years in prison. He received credit for 52 days of jail time.

Co-defendant in the case, Joshua Lesler, 18, of 501 Solida Road, South Point, pleaded guilty Jan. 20 to an indictment charging him with breaking and entering and forgery.

Judge Walton also sentenced him to a total of three years in prison, which includes concurrent terms for four other counts of burglary relating to separate incidents.
