After Jesus’ birth, during the time of King Herod, played by Ed Gullett, Magi, or the wise men played by Curtis Jenkins, Jeff McCallister and Eric Holmes, from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.” King Herod called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Christ was to be born. “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for that is what the prophet was written.” View photo »

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be fore all the people. Today in the town off David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.” Suddenly a great company of heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.” View photo »

In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. So Joseph went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born. View photo »

The angel appears before Joseph and tells him “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel.” View photo »
Upon hearing the news that Mary has been chosen to carry the Messiah she rushes off to tell her future husband Joseph, played by Andy Lovejoy. However Joseph dismisses this news as being to good to believe. View photo »
Mary, played by Noelle Kelley, shields her eyes as the angle Gabriel, played by Michael Wilcoxin, appears before her. Gabriel says “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” Gabriel informs Mary that she will be with child, by the way of the Holy Spirit, and give birth to a son that she will name Jesus. View photo »
