Edna Kazee

March 14, 1925 — Nov. 5, 2017

Edna Downey Kazee, 92, of Ironton, passed away peacefully Sunday, Nov. 5, 2017, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky. Mrs. Kazee was born March 14, 1925, in Orange, New Jersey, a daughter to the late Charles and Augusta (O’Donnell) Wood.
She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Kermit Downey; and her second husband, Billy M. Kazee, who passed away Jan. 20, 2017.
Mrs. Kazee attended East Orange Schools in New Jersey. She was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps. She was a homemaker, and she enjoyed traveling and visits from family and friends. Mrs. Kazee was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Co-op Club and Ironton Garden Club.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, Chester Downey; and stepdaughter, Marijane Littlejohn.
She is survived by son, Terry (Anne) Downey, of Medford, Oregon; stepson, Rick (Pam) Kazee, of Marina del Rey, California; stepdaughter, Patty (Terry) Hammond, of Flagler Beach, Florida; step-son-in-law, Wes Littlejohn, of Patriot; four grandchildren, Nicole (Chris) Colburn, of Dayton, Oregon, Melissa Simpson, of Lodi, California, Matt Downey, of Boise, Idaho, and Tom (Brandi) Downey, of San Antonio, Texas; three step-grandchildren, Amy (Jeff) Clark, of Palm Harbor, Florida, Jon (Michelle) Cook, of Chesapeake, and Sarah (Mike) Sloop, of Cumming, Georgia; and sister, Beverly Hagerty, of Cape Jiradeau, Missouri.
Edna will also be forever loved and missed by her numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral service will be noon Friday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, Ironton, with pastor Carson Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Ironton. Friends and family may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the funeral home.

Trina Sue (Neal) Bertolini, 63, of Deerfield Beach, Florida, passed away Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Cincinnati native was born Dec. 30, 1953, a daughter of the late Floyd Elwood and Mary Ann (Clutter) Neal.
Trina was a graduate of LaBrae High School and a financial aid officer for the Florida Atlantic University for 23 years. She enjoyed sewing, reading, bowling and football and was also of the Christian faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Neal.
She is survived by two daughters, Marcia Bertolini, of Warren, and Sherry Bertolini, of Deerfield Beach, Florida; a brother, William (Denise) Neal, of Murphy, North Carolina; two sisters, Tracey (Earl) Young, of Greensboro, North Carolina, and Janet Stoots, of Crab Orchid, West Virginia; a brother-in-law, William Countryman, of York, Pennsylvania; five nieces and nephews; one great-nephew; and one great-niece.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, Ironton, with the Rev. Jeff Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Mamre Cemetery and visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

Donald R. “Bud” Waugh, 83, of Chesapeake, died Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, at home. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, by the Rev. Tom Jones.
