Camp gives children chance to study ancient Greece

Children will get a chance to learn about the influence and culture of ancient Greece as part of a summer camp organized by Ohio University Southern.
The “Exploring the World” Academy of Excellence summer camp is set to take place July 18-22 at the Proctorville center and from July 25-29 at the Ironton campus. From 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The camp will open to students in grades 1-6 and will explore a different topic through each day, including literature, drama, foods, architecture, the Olympics, education, philosophy and art.
Students are asked to dress comfortably and they will be draped with togas over their clothing.
