SP village administrator cited for soliciting prostitution

SOUTH POINT — South Point village administrator Pat Leighty, 76, was cited by Huntington police Monday afternoon for soliciting prostitution.
“We cited him to municipal court at about 2:40 p.m. (Monday),” Huntington Police Chief Joe Ciccarelli, said. “He has a court appearance at 9 a.m. on Nov. 3.”
Ciccarelli said that Leighty was also in an official village vehicle at the time of the citation.
South Point Mayor Ron West said Leighty is resigning from his position at the end of the month.
A call to Leighty’s office was not returned by presstime.
